This manual (TM1716, dated 18JUN99) covers four tractors built on the same platform: the 5210 with a 39 kW (53 hp) naturally aspirated CD3029DLV50 engine, the 5310 with a 47 kW (63 hp) turbocharged CD3029TLV50, the 5410 with a 56 kW (75 hp) naturally aspirated CD4045DLV50, and the 5510 with a 63 kW (85 hp) turbocharged CD4045TLV50. All four run a 12-volt electrical system and offer a CollarShift/SyncShuttle transmission as standard, with the 12-forward/12-reverse PowrReverser transmission optional.
Unlike a split repair/diagnostic set, this single volume contains both halves: Sections 10 through 90 walk through removal, disassembly and rebuild of every system, while Sections 210 through 290 carry the operational checkout procedures, theory of operation, diagnostics and tests for the same systems. Serial number locations for the engine, fuel injection pump, alternator, power steering valve, starter and transmission are included for quick identification during warranty or parts work.
Hydraulic working pressure on all four models is 18,995-19,685 kPa (190-197 bar). The transmission choice (CollarShift/SyncShuttle vs. PowrReverser) changes several Section 50 and Section 250 group numbers, so check your machine's build before jumping to a group.
