John Deere's operation and test manual TM2361 for the 450DLC excavator, built on the same controller-by-controller diagnostic structure as its smaller 225DLC sibling. Fault codes are sorted by the controller that raised them, with full theory of operation and testing for the engine, electrical, power train, hydraulic and A/C systems, and the companion repair manual sold separately.

This manual (TM2361, dated 18AUG15) is written for the John Deere 450DLC excavator. It's the operation and test half of the set; disassembly and rebuild are handled in the companion repair manual, TM2362.
As with John Deere's other current DLC-series excavators, diagnostic trouble codes here are grouped by controller - the Main Controller (MCF), Engine Control Module (ECM), Information Controller (ICF), Air Conditioner Controller (ACF) and Monitor Controller (MON) - rather than by symptom, so a known fault code takes you straight to the right diagnostic group. A terminology cross-reference chart helps bridge any naming differences between this manual and older documentation.
