Description

What's Covered in This Manual

This is the Repair technical manual (TM4443) for the John Deere 3050, 3350 and 3650 tractors, built at John Deere's own Mannheim, Germany factory for the European market. It opens with a summary of the most important specifications for all three tractors side by side - valve clearances, torque values for everything from the cylinder head to the flywheel, fuel injection nozzle pressures split by naturally aspirated versus turbocharged engines, and battery testing current - before moving into the full repair content organized by section and group.

Because this covers three tractor sizes at once, several groups carry notes on where the models differ: the front axle carrier torque values change depending on whether the tractor has the increased lifting capacity option, and the 3650 in particular gets its own torque figures in a few places. The manual also covers two different cab configurations - machines with the SG2 cab, which includes its own dedicated section for air conditioning service, with the compressor procedure itself split by tractor serial number (up to 646949 versus from 646950 onward).

Beyond the engine and cab, the manual runs through the full driveline and chassis: clutch and transmission (console-shift, center-shift, synchronized, or the Hi-Lo shift unit and creeper transmission options), differential and final drives, PTO (rear and front), hydrostatic steering, hydraulic brakes, and the main hydraulic system including the rockshaft, front hitch and selective control valves. A separate lubrication and maintenance interval chart near the back marks exactly which service items apply to which of the three models, so you're not guessing which procedures carry over between the 3050, 3350 and 3650.
