This is the Operation and Test manual for the John Deere 250GLC excavator (the uploaded file is titled "250G," but the manual's own cover and PIN plate both specify the 250GLC long-carriage configuration). It covers machines from PIN 1FF250GX__F608713 onward, built around the PowerTech 6068 Final Tier 4/Stage IV diesel engine - the newer emissions platform that replaced the Tier 3 engine used in the 200-series machines.
The controller layout here is the G-series update to the D-series system: diagnostic trouble codes are broken out by Main Controller (MCZ), Engine Control Unit (ECU), Monitor Controller (DSZ), Information Controller (ICZ) and Air Conditioner Controller (ACF). If you've worked on an older D-series excavator, the troubleshooting logic will feel familiar, but the controller names and some of the diagnostic routines have changed along with the Final Tier 4 engine's added emissions hardware.
Past the diagnostic trouble codes, the manual runs through a full operational checkout procedure, then theory of operation and diagnostic testing section by section: engine, electrical system, power train, hydraulic system, and heating/air conditioning, closing with dealer-fabricated tool drawings. At 970 pages, it gives a technician everything needed to isolate a fault on this excavator without guessing - test values, wiring references and step-by-step diagnostic trees rather than general theory alone.
