This manual (SM-2105, Oct-76, copyright 1975) covers four tractors built on a shared platform but fitted with different Kohler engines: the 200 runs a K181QS (8 hp, 18.6 cu in), the 210 a K241AQS (10 hp, 23.9 cu in), the 212 a K301AQS (12 hp, 29.1 cu in), and the 214 a K321AQS (14 hp, 31.3 cu in). All four are single-cylinder, four-stroke, battery-ignition engines with a 12-volt alternator charging system.
The 200 uses a smaller John Deere battery (BCI Group U1, 135 cold cranking amps) than the 210/212/214 (BCI Group 22F, 255 cold cranking amps), and this manual calls out that difference directly in its specification tables. All four models share the same 4-speed transaxle, V-belt clutch and enclosed-gear steering, with hydraulic lift offered only on the 210/212/214.
This is a vintage factory manual reproduced from the original 1976 printing. Engine horsepower ratings are quoted per the Standard Internal Combustion Engine Institute procedure, corrected to 60°F and 29.92 in. Hg barometer.
