This is the Cummins factory Operation & Maintenance manual covering the K38, K50, QSK38, and QSK50 high-horsepower engine family. The K38 is a V12 with 38 litres of displacement, and the K50 is a V16 with 50 litres of displacement; the QSK38 and QSK50 are the Quantum electronically-controlled evolutions of these same base engines, sharing roughly 70% of their parts with the mechanical K-series predecessors while adding full-authority electronic control and (on later builds) Modular Common Rail Fuel System (MCRS) injection at up to 1,600 bar.
