This is the Cummins factory Operation & Maintenance manual for the ISM and ISMe engine family - the electronically controlled evolution of the Cummins M11 platform, built around a 10.8-litre (659 cu in) inline-six architecture with a 4.921 in bore and 5.787 in stroke. Introduced in 1998 to replace the M11 CELECT, the ISM brought full electronic control ('Interact System') to this engine line, and remains widely used in heavy trucks, buses, fire apparatus, construction equipment, and industrial power applications.
